The Hematology Outpatient Clinic

The Hematology Outpatient clinic provides comprehensive hematological consultations for patients with acute or chronic blood disorders. Patients are referred to the clinic by their family physician or can come in on their own accord.

The Hematology Outpatient Clinic is designed to be a link between the family, home and the hospital.

Each year, 400 children with hematological problems are investigated, treated and followed up.

This clinic treats medical issues such as:

  • Anemias, acquired, nutritional, hereditary hemoglobinopathies, bone marrow failure syndromes.
  • White cell disorders, such as leukopenia and leukocytosis.
  • Platelet disorders including thrombocytopenia and thrombocytosis.

Anthie Damianaki, MD, ΜSc,Paediatrician with special interest in pediatric hematology-oncology, doctoral candidate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

The clinic hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., every Tuesday for months Dec – Mar and every Wednesday for months Sept – Nov and Apr-Jul. The aforementioned days the clinic can be reached during office hours at 2132009457.
