Dr. Alexandros Panos was born and raised in Athens. He graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2009 and completed his residency in Pediatrics at the 2nd Department of Pediatrics, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, at the “Panagiotis and Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital, where he obtained his board certification in Pediatrics.
Since 2019, Dr. Panos has been serving as a Pediatrician at the Child Safety Care Unit of the 2nd Department of Pediatrics, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), where he is responsible for the operation of the Pediatric Outpatient Clinic.
The clinic provides comprehensive, longitudinal pediatric care, continuity of care following hospital discharge, and coordinated services for vulnerable families. Dr. Panos has played an active role in organizing educational programs focused on the prevention of child abuse and neglect, and has been an invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences.
His primary areas of interest include child health promotion and safety, social pediatrics, and the prevention and management of child abuse and neglect.

The Pediatric Outpatient Clinic offers longitudinal pediatric care services with a focus on supporting vulnerable families. The clinic places particular emphasis on improving access to healthcare for families facing social vulnerabilities and for children with complex health needs, through the provision of multidisciplinary care and close coordination with other hospital departments.In addition, the clinic ensures long-term follow-up and facilitates access to healthcare for families with a history of inadequate care or exposure to violence. It also manages referrals from community pediatricians for further evaluation, as well as follow-up assessments of children referred from the Emergency Department.
